As promised, after sharing our standard daytime photographs to doc all of the alternative ways it may be worn, the seamlines, and particulars, and so on, I actually need to take some photographs of my recent Wolfkiller Cloak at nighttime, too. I imply, it’s a coat impressed by a vampire AND it’s practically Halloween, so what higher solution to seize the vibes than to do a photoshoot in an area graveyard??
Fortunately, I’ve bought buddies who had been so eager they had been combating over who would assist me take these, and I’m so satisfied with how they turned out! Large due to my buddy Ann who travelled throughout London to not solely take these photographs, however try to artwork direct my face journeys AND do my eye make-up!
This put up is nearly solely photographs – please consult with this post for all the fabric, pattern, and inspiration, and to this post for the construction details and daytime photos.
The one different updates I’ve on the earlier posts are:
1. I’ll be changing the hooks on the entrance opening of the coat with tiny carabiners as a result of the hooks simply don’t stay in place, and it actually wants one thing that locks onto the thread bars. Those across the neck are doing the job completely although!
2. The costume designer for the present commented on my Instagram to say she loves my cloak!! After which so as to add that they certainly tried to line the complete cloak in fur (as is described within the ebook) however that it was too heavy for the actor to put on!? That is new data, and is so cool that they tried to be book-accurate! (Frankly, I’m overjoyed it didn’t work as a result of that fake wolf fur was £60/m and lining the total factor would’ve bankrupted me!)
And naturally I couldn’t assist however pose with the ebook that impressed all of this, 30 years after I first learn it! It doesn’t harm that my hardback version has a really fairly artwork deco-inspired cowl, both…
So what do you suppose? Do you favor the daylight photographs for stitching particulars, or the nighttime ones for the atomspheric vibes?
